Davido has released the music video for his song 'Already Falling', and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, is the star of it. The video came out on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, and the singer announced it on Instagram with the caption, "Already Falling. From us to you. Enjoy."

The clip is directed by Meji Alabi and was shot around French chateau scenery, with elaborate costumes and Nigerian-inspired styling. It opens with Davido arriving at a chateau in a horse-drawn carriage, and later moves through grand interiors with dancers.

Chioma appears in a navy-blue gown with gold embroidery and a matching gele. In one scene she is seen gently playing with her husband's beard; in another she drives a red convertible with Davido beside her, still singing.

The moment that got the most attention comes at the end, at a lakeside: Davido kneels before her and opens a ring box. Fans read it as a second proposal, and the scene drew quick comparisons to 'Assurance', his 2018 song dedicated to Chioma.

Why it matters to fans

The release reunites Davido and Chioma with Alabi, who also directed the 'Assurance' video. Chioma appeared in '1 Milli' in 2020 as well, in a wedding-themed video, so the couple's on-screen pairing is familiar to Nigerian audiences.

'Already Falling' is the eighth track on Davido's sixth studio album, Oriadé, released on 31 July 2026. The song blends English, Yoruba and Nigerian Pidgin, was produced by Classic and Sensei, and features background vocals from Peruzzi. The video also carries his longstanding partnership with Martell.

Reactions online were mixed. Some fans praised the couple's chemistry, with one comment calling them "royalty" and another saying no one else would have fit the role. Others were less kind, with one user writing that "the song don already flop" and another suggesting the video was a repeat of 'Assurance'.

For Davido, the video keeps a familiar formula going: family at the centre of the visuals, and a love story Nigerians have followed since 'Assurance'. Whether it lifts the song or not, the conversation around it is already loud.
