  • Nestlé Nigeria has appointed Toritseju (Toju) Egbebi as its Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager from November 2026.
  • She takes over from Victoria Uwadoka, who retired after about a decade with the company.
  • Egbebi, previously Corporate Affairs Manager, brings 18 years of public relations experience.

Nestlé Nigeria has named Toritseju (Toju) Egbebi as its new Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager, effective November 2026. She takes over from Victoria Uwadoka, who has retired after about a decade with the food and beverage company.

The announcement was made in a company statement. Egbebi, until now Corporate Affairs Manager at Nestlé Nigeria, brings 18 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications across technology, financial services and consumer goods.

According to the company, she has helped strengthen Nestlé's corporate reputation, public affairs and stakeholder engagement since joining. Through the Nestlé for Good platform, the statement said, she has worked to deepen public understanding of Nestlé's investments in healthier nutrition, thriving communities and environmental sustainability, and to build media and stakeholder partnerships.

What Uwadoka leaves behind

Nestlé credited Uwadoka with strengthening its reputation, stakeholder relationships and Creating Shared Value agenda. Her work covered nutrition, youth empowerment, agriculture, water stewardship, environmental responsibility and community development, the company said.

She also pushed stronger employee engagement and helped turn complex corporate and sustainability priorities into clear, credible messages, according to the statement. Beyond Nestlé, the company said she contributed to Nigeria's communications profession through industry leadership, advocacy and mentorship.

At a recent certificate presentation for journalists who took part in the first Nestlé Business Journalism and Nutrition Programme at Pan-Atlantic University, Uwadoka said she was leaving the media team in good hands. "I couldn't have done my job without you," she told the journalists, thanking them for their support.

Managing Director and CEO Wassim Elhusseini thanked Uwadoka for what he called her leadership, professionalism and commitment over the past decade. "As Toju takes on this responsibility, I have every confidence in the experience, judgement and energy she brings to the role," he said.

Why it matters

Nestlé Nigeria makes some of the country's best-known food and drink brands, including MAGGI, MILO, Golden Morn, Nescafé and Nestlé Purelife. Its communications and sustainability office shapes how the company talks to the public about nutrition, water use and community projects — issues that matter to shoppers, farmers and host communities.

The handover comes as the company keeps up its nutrition and youth programmes. The sources did not give further details on future plans for those programmes.
