The gist
  • Toritseju Egbebi becomes Nestlé Nigeria's Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager from 1 November 2026.
  • She takes over from Victoria Uwadoka, who is retiring after ten years with the food and drinks company.
  • Egbebi, now Corporate Affairs Manager, has 18 years of experience across tech, finance and consumer goods.

Nestlé Nigeria has named Toritseju Egbebi as its new Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager, with the appointment taking effect on 1 November 2026.

She steps into the role as Victoria Uwadoka retires after ten years with the company, according to statements from the firm reported by The Sun, The Nation and Independent.

Egbebi is not new to the company. She currently serves as Nestlé Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Manager and has spent 18 years in public relations and corporate communications, working across technology, financial services and consumer goods before and during her time at Nestlé.

What the job covers

In her current position, Egbebi has worked on the company's reputation, public affairs and relationships with stakeholders. She has also been involved in Nestlé for Good, the platform the company uses to explain its spending and work in healthier nutrition, community support and environmental sustainability.

Her new role puts her in charge of how Nestlé Nigeria speaks to the public, the media and partners, and how it reports on its sustainability commitments.

Uwadoka's decade at the helm covered a wide brief. She led communications and sustainability work in nutrition, youth empowerment, agriculture, water stewardship, environmental responsibility and community development, and also drove employee engagement and the company's Creating Shared Value agenda.

Beyond Nestlé, she has been active in building Nigeria's communications profession through industry leadership, advocacy and mentorship.

Wassim Elhusseini, Nestlé Nigeria's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, credited Uwadoka with a strong contribution over the past decade. "Victoria has made an important contribution to Nestlé Nigeria over the past decade," he said, thanking her for her leadership and professionalism and wishing her well in her next chapter.

He also backed her successor, saying he has "every confidence in the experience, judgement and energy" Egbebi brings to the job. Elhusseini added that good communication and stakeholder engagement remain central to building trust in the business.

Why it matters

Nestlé Nigeria is one of the country's biggest food and beverage manufacturers, with brands such as Milo, Maggi, Nescafé, Golden Morn and Nestlé Pure Life on many Nigerian tables. Its public messaging on nutrition, water use and community projects shapes how shoppers, regulators and host communities see the company.

For everyday Nigerians, the change at the top of the communications team is unlikely to affect prices or products directly. But the company's sustainability promises, from water stewardship to farmer support, are watched by communities where it sources raw materials and by groups tracking how multinationals treat the environment.

Egbebi takes over on 1 November, the same day Uwadoka's retirement takes effect.
