KFC Nigeria brings back buy-one-get-one-free chicken buckets on Wednesday

The gist
  • KFC Nigeria will run its Buy 1, Get 1 Free Chicken Bucket deal again on Wednesday, 28 October.
  • Buyers get a second bucket of the same size free, plus four extra dips.
  • The offer covers 8, 12 and 21-piece buckets in listed cities and on delivery apps.

KFC Nigeria is bringing back its Buy 1, Get 1 Free Chicken Bucket promotion, with the deal set to run on Wednesday, 28 October, according to the company's announcement carried by The Nation.

The idea is simple. A customer pays the regular price for one bucket in 8, 12 or 21 pieces, and gets a second bucket of the same size at no extra cost. The deal also comes with four extra dips, so two buckets and eight dips in total.

For a household watching every naira, that works out to roughly half the price per bucket, though the exact saving depends on the size chosen and the outlet's current prices. The outlets did not publish specific naira prices in the reports.

Where and how to order

The promotion is available at KFC outlets in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kano, Akure, Ilorin, Sagamu and Ibadan, according to the announcement.

Customers who would rather stay home can order through the delivery apps Chowdeck or Mano.

The reports say the deal has drawn heavy interest in past rounds. Last month, KFC ran the promotion twice, and customers shared photos of shared buckets on social media. The outlets expect queues and a rush of delivery orders on Wednesday, and advise ordering early.

It is a one-day offer, so anyone planning a team lunch, a family dinner or a treat for the children will need to move on the day itself.

What happens next

The deal runs only on Wednesday, 28 October. KFC has not said whether it will return after that, so customers hoping to catch it should check their nearest outlet or the delivery apps that morning.
