Victor Osimhen is a father again. The Super Eagles striker and his partner, Stefanie Ladewig, have welcomed a baby girl, who they have named Liora Audrey.

The news came from Osimhen's club, Galatasaray, which posted a message on Thursday congratulating the couple and wishing the newborn a long, healthy and happy life.

This is the second child for the pair. Their first daughter, Hailey, arrived in October 2022.

Ladewig is a fashion model and social media influencer with Cameroonian and German roots. Reports say the two have been together since 2019, when Osimhen was playing in Germany for Wolfsburg.

Earlier this month, Turkish media reported that Ladewig was in a three-vehicle crash while heavily pregnant. She was said to have come out of it without injury.

Back on the pitch

Osimhen, 27, is expected to be in Galatasaray's squad for Friday's league match against T. Konyaspor.

He was in fine form on Monday, scoring twice as Galatasaray beat Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce. The club sits top of the table after nine games, and Osimhen has eight goals, putting him among the league's joint-top scorers.

For Nigerian fans, the baby news is a bright spot around a player many see as the country's main attacking hope. His goals in Turkey are closely watched at home, where the Super Eagles' fortunes are a constant talking point.

Galatasaray's message did not say when the baby was born or where. The club also did not give any other details about the family.
