Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, don talk say he go soon name those he believe dey work to stop him bid to become governor of Gombe State.
Pantami, wey be di Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for di state, make di claim for one video wey he post on him verified Facebook page on Saturday. He no name anybody or provide evidence.
Him comments come after di Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) leave him name off di final list of governorship candidates for di 2027 elections.
INEC bin earlier list am for di August 2026 version, but di updated list wey dem release dis month no include am. Di commission ask parties wey believe say dem wrongly exclude dia candidates to complain by October 24, 2026.
Pantami lawyers bin give INEC three days to restore him name, dey talk say he meet all requirements. INEC maintain say candidates wey no dey di final list remain excluded.
How di candidacy run into trouble
Pantami leave di All Progressives Congress (APC) after e pick Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna as him consensus governorship candidate for Gombe. He come join di PDP and win him primary on May 26, 2026.
