Nollywood actress Rachael Okonkwo, widely known as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, has confirmed her engagement to businessman Chief Chukwudi Onuorah. The confirmation came in a video that surfaced online over the weekend and spread quickly on Instagram.

In the clip, the actress holds a bouquet of flowers and shows off an engagement ring. She is heard saying, "I'm blushing, and I'm shy." In another moment from the proposal, she calls Onuorah "my billionaire baby."

The engagement follows weeks of speculation about the relationship, which the actress had not publicly addressed until now.

Family rites reportedly under way

According to online reports cited by Naija News, the couple's families have started traditional marriage proceedings. An Iku Aka, or traditional introduction, was reportedly held on October 11, 2026, at the actress's family home in Nsukka, Enugu State.

Naija News also reported that Chief Onuorah, sometimes called Model, hails from Eke in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State. Those details have not been independently confirmed by Naija Breaking.

Okonkwo became a household name in 2014 after playing the lead role in the movie Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, a name fans still use for her today.

Fans celebrate

Congratulatory messages poured in under the video, with many fans saying they had followed her career for years. Several commenters praised her for keeping a scandal-free public life.

One fan wrote, "Our Nkoli is off the market," while another said she watched the actress while growing up. Others simply wished the couple a happy union.

The news has excited entertainment lovers who are now waiting for the next stage of the traditional rites. Neither Okonkwo nor Chief Onuorah has announced a wedding date.
