Ned Nwoko warns bloggers over false reports about Regina Daniels
- Senator Ned Nwoko says false posts about his wife Regina Daniels are being documented for possible legal action.
- He asked fans and bloggers to give the actress space to recover after she revealed mobility problems in October.
- Regina appeared in a wheelchair in a birthday video on 10 October, which sparked wide public concern.
Senator Ned Nwoko has spoken publicly about the online rumours surrounding his wife, actress Regina Daniels, saying false posts about her health and their marriage have gone too far.
In a statement shared on his Instagram page on Monday, 2 November 2026, the Delta State senator asked fans, friends, bloggers and social media users to stop piling pressure on her while she recovers.
He said the video Regina posted on her birthday gave only a small picture of what she has been dealing with, and that she needs support rather than judgment.
What Regina said about her health
In October 2026, Regina disclosed that she had been battling severe pain, swollen and weakened legs, and difficulty moving, which left her using a wheelchair.
She shared a video on 10 October, her 25th birthday, in which she appeared in the wheelchair. The clip drew widespread concern online about her condition.
According to her husband, some of what followed was not concern but invention. He said fake death announcements and misleading reports about her health and private life are circulating, and that Regina sees many of them.
These things are not harmless social media engagement,
he said, adding that the posts cause her real distress.
Legal warning
Nwoko said he will no longer accept made-up stories about her, and that his team is keeping records of each publication. Those behind them, he warned, will be held to account through proper legal channels.
He also said there should be a limit to what is tolerated, and that the limit has been reached.
The statement comes as questions have also swirled about the couple's marriage. It also follows reports that Regina and her co-wife, Laila Charani, recently stopped following each other on Instagram, which drew reactions from fans.
For ordinary Nigerians, the episode is a reminder of how quickly unverified posts about a public figure's health can spread on social media, and how hard it is for the person involved to correct them.
What happens next
Nwoko has not said which pages or individuals are being documented, or when any action might be filed. Until then, the matter rests on his warning and his appeal for space for his wife to recover.
