2Baba to release first album in six years, 'Oldest Young Man', on November 27
- 2Baba announced on Instagram that his new album, Oldest Young Man, drops on November 27, 2026.
- It is his first full-length studio album since Warriors in 2020.
- He has kept fans busy with recent singles, including Mental and Ifesinachi.
2Baba is set to release a new album. The singer announced on Instagram that his next studio project, titled Oldest Young Man, will arrive on November 27, 2026.
In the post, he wrote: "The legacy continues. OLDEST YOUNG MAN drops 27.11.26. Timeless music, no expiration date."
The album will be his first full-length studio project in about six years. His last album, Warriors, came out in 2020 and featured Burna Boy, Wizkid and Olamide.
Even without a full album in that time, 2Baba has stayed in the studio. He released the single "Ifesinachi" earlier in 2026 and followed it with "Mental" in September.
Why it matters
For many Nigerian music fans, 2Baba — formerly known as 2Face Idibia — is one of the artists who carried Afropop to a wider audience. His run stretches from his days with Plantashun Boiz to solo hits like "African Queen", a song that still plays at weddings and on radio across the country.
A new album from him is a big moment for fans who grew up on that sound, and for a younger generation that mostly knows him through features and singles. It also puts him back on the same shelf as the younger stars he once helped introduce on Warriors.
What happens next
The album is expected on all major streaming platforms on November 27. Fans will be watching for a tracklist and any featured artists in the weeks before the release.
