  • Rapper Zlatan Ibile and Davita Lamai held their white wedding in Marrakech, Morocco, on November 4, 2026.
  • Davido and his wife Chioma Adeleke joined other Nigerian stars at the ceremony, weeks after the Lagos traditional wedding.
  • A video of Zlatan in tears before his bride walked in drew warm reactions online.

Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile and his partner Davita Lamai have held their white wedding in Marrakech, Morocco, on November 4, 2026, capping weeks of celebrations that began with a traditional ceremony in Lagos.

The Morocco event drew a star-studded guest list from Nigeria's entertainment scene. Afrobeats star Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, were among those in attendance, along with Carter Efe, Tunde Perry, Pretty Mike and Soso Soberekon, according to reports from the wedding.

Davido, a close friend of the groom, wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt, bow tie, pocket square and dark sunglasses. Chioma complemented him in a flowing teal floor-length gown with a jewelled neckline, a matching headpiece and clutch.

The couple walked hand in hand through an arched entrance lit in purple, pausing to greet guests on their way in. Their joint appearance drew plenty of attention online, partly because Chioma had been absent from the Lagos traditional wedding on October 24, where Davido served as a groomsman.

An emotional moment at the altar

One of the most shared clips from the ceremony showed Zlatan standing alone at the altar, visibly overcome, as an officiant opened proceedings with a prayer. According to reports, he was in tears before his bride made her entrance.

Fans on social media described the moment as proof of genuine love, with many congratulating the couple. Others noted that the tears spoke to the weight of publicly formalising a bond and a family the pair had built quietly over the years.

The white wedding followed a traditional ceremony in Lagos on October 24 and, according to reports, an earlier private civil ceremony. The couple, who have been together for a long time, welcomed their first child in 2020 and their second in 2024, Daily Post reported.

The Morocco celebrations featured colourful displays, lively music and local customs, with the couple making grand entrances on decorated carried platforms known as amaria.

What happens next

The Morocco ceremony appears to close the couple's run of wedding events, which began with the Lagos traditional rites. For fans, the focus now shifts to the newlyweds' life together and Zlatan's music, with no further ceremonies announced in the reports.
